The ribbon flowers and leaves are exquisite. There is an abundance of lace on the edges which is starched--not soft, but that suits my purposes fine. It is a bit stiff out of the package, but will probably soften with a gentle washing. It gives an elegant touch to a table top, but the ribbon work isn't flat, so you'll have to place your table top items accordingly.Using it on my note stand. This is so beautifully made.
